Certification Exam Information

In order to attain the MDICD credential, you must demonstrate to a Mobile Development Institute exam proctor that you have successfully created and published at least one application for a leading mobile platform.

Our proctors verify your skills and experience by conducting a remote viewing session via the web of your computer system running your development environment. This examination process typically lasts approximately one hour, during which you will be required to perform the following tasks:

Log into your active app store developer account and show the application is currently published and available for download.

Demonstrate that you have successfully installed and configured the proper development tools/SDK that were used to create the published application.

Browse through the source code and explain the general structure and function of the major application modules to the exam proctor.

Answer questions that the exam proctor may have about the structure and approach of your application during the source code review.

The exam proctor will request that you make a slight change to your application. You must successfully complete the change and demonstrate the modification in a simulator.

The MDICD certification exam can be re-attempted (at an additional fee) an unlimited number of times. However, you will be eligible to retake the exam only once every 30 days.

The proctor fee for each MDICD examination is $375. After your payment has been received, you will be contacted by an MDI proctor to schedule your exam.
